Eeek!

I'm going to a scrapbooking crop tomorrow night with Heather, and I'm woefully unprepared. Believe it or not, I've never scrapbooked in this house - meaning it's been over 17 months, plus probably a few more since I last did. I've bought supplies a few times in that period, but I never even put them away (just tossed the bags of stuff right into my stash). Nevermind pictures! Gah, my pictures are so backed up, tucked every place, and who knows what else!

I've been trying to get things together this week so I can be ready for tomorrow night. If the crop were Saturday night, I'm certain I could pull things together in time (having all day to do so). But it's tomorrow night, plus I work during the day, and I just don't know how I'm going to be ready.

Eeeeeek!

Jack seems to feel right as rain today. Though his Jello for a late dinner (it was after 10pm, since he'd napped on my bed for hours at 6pm) came right back up last night, his breakfast has stayed down. He's playing fine, but then he felt fine yesterday too, despite the sick.

I dunno.

I want to file papers in the office today and scrapbook professional pictures into their respective albums. Those are easy pages, and it gives me an easy goal.

Oh, and I read 'Chapter One - The Boy Who Lived' from Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone last night. I was going to wait a bit longer to start my rereads, but I couldn't hold out any longer. I'm weak - heh. Oh, but doesn't that chapter - even just the title alone - give me the goosebumps that I'm starting on a wonderful journey once again?

I adore HP, I really do. :-)

I made up my own recipe tonight from a few different ones I found online: Zucchini & Turkey Quiche. It turned out very tasty, but the turkey left a little liquid in the center of the quiche (even though I'd tested it with a cake tester before taking it out). The top was very golden brown though, so I'm sure it was ready. It was extremely cheesy, and we all liked it pretty well. I'm betting that the leftovers tomorrow will be even better. We ate it tonight with sliced tomatoes as a side dish.

My friend minivan_mom Jamie is at the hospital at this very moment having her baby. Hopefully we'll know the identity of her little bundle soon! She's been so super-secretive about the gender, and I can't wait to finally find out what she's having. :-)

Philip helped me to rip out all but one of the cornstalks in the garden. They're done now, but this last stalk still has one little ear that we're waiting on. I pulled all the lima beans up two days ago, and the green beans have been gone for about a month now. All varieties of our tomatoes are still growing at an insane pace, and the zucchini and green peppers are still producing massive amounts of veggies, too. We still have just the one Big Max pumpkin, but I counted fifteen Jack o'Lantern pumpkins tonight, plus about twenty more babies. There are too many Jack Be Little pumpkins to count, and they're all various shades of yellow and gold, with just a few already ripening to an orange shade. I'm excited about the pumpkin possibilities this year!

I'm going to go scrapbook some more, I think. We'll probably turn in early tonight as well - we're all tired from this morning's very early start.

Wheee - where did the day go? Oh, I remember! Arguing in email. I'm soooo done with that.

This afternoon we received a wonderful and unexpected phone call - a spot has opened up, and Jack will be going to 3-yr. PreSchool! We'd tried to register him back in February, but the class had filled up within just a couple of days, and he's been on the wait list since. I'm excited, but that is NOTHING compared to how giddy Jack is!

Jack: I get to go to school?!
Me: Yep, you do! You get to go to school on Tuesday!
Jack: And I get to have A.J.'s backpack?!
Me: No, we'll probably get you one of your own.
Jack: A Ninja Turtles one?!
Me: (laughing) We'll see, bud!

My baby is growing up, just like my other baby. *sniffle* I'm so happy for him, and this will be such an exciting experience. A.J. only attended 4-yr. PreK before heading into Kindergarten, so Jack will have one extra year. He will be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9-11:30am. :-)

I went to step aerobics class tonight with natgraluk Maria. I'd not been to a step class in over a year now, and I very nearly DIED tonight! Also, it was sooooo not a 'Beginner Step' class. It was more along the lines of what Heather and I were doing after 2-3 MONTHS of classes last year. I'm exhausted!

But yay! I have 8 stickers on my calendar for exercise now!

I'm off to scrapbook with starrchld Annie now. :-)
