Popping my cherry.
Feb. 16th, 2007 09:23 pmSo I go to the kitchen and get myself one of the lovelies from a box of chocolate-covered cherries on the counter (Philip bought them about two weeks ago, and I finally cracked open the box yesterday). I take the first nibble from the cherry, and I begin walking back to the office, slurping the cherry's syrup all the while from the tiny hole made in the bottom of the chocolate. By the time I get back to the chair, the syrup is gone, and I pop the full chocolate into my mouth to finish it off.
I sit down in my chair, and I put my right hand on the mouse and rest my left hand in my lap... only to feel wet stickiness. I look down in disbelief as I lift my hand and stretch out the lap portion of my nightie to reveal pink spots of sticky-sweet cherry syrup. I'm still staring at the material in shock when Philip rounds the corner to find me doing so, and he wonders just what the heck I'm up to.
And as I show him, we count the spots. There are 26 gooey pink spots on my nightie - all from just one dumb cherry! A chocolate-covered cherry that I *swear* I was paying close attention to while I slurped it! How is that even possible?!
