aww honey! HUGE HUGS! I think you did the right thing - don't feel guilty. Everyone needs to feel safe, all the time. And you can't keep going back to a place that you have to fear for your safety. Your employers should realize that and if they don't then you did what you need to do. I support you! Just 1 more day - you'll feel so much better when your man is home!

Ditto. Being alone in a place that deals with money isn't safe. Not in today's world. You were so strong to go back after the first robbery. You're not weak for quitting now. You'd be insane to stay!! You might be a bit wacky, but you aren't crazy. HUGS. Now go home & make a batch of cookies that are YOUR favorites.

It's funny. I know that if the situation had been reversed, I would *NEVER* have wanted my Natalie (*here's my older and protective side coming in to play*) to go back in there! I guess it's just harder to see when it's yourself. :-/

I'm unable to listen to phone posts, but I'm judging by the comments that you quit your job.

I don't blame you one bit! You have to take care of number one, Nicole. Phillip needs you. Your boys need you. That's far more important than some job. It's not worth the risk to your life.

Hey You- do NOT feel guilty. It's one thing to have had someting so scary happen ONCE, let alone TWICE, and then to have been treated so shitty by your boss. Nope, don't take any more & don't look back! You were brave enough to give it another shot, but forget it. You'll find something else. God doesn't close one door without opening another...

(((HUGS))) & Cheer-up Buttercup, your man on on his way, closer every minute. Whoohoo!

Oh Nicole! I can imagine how you must feel guilty. I can tell that you are a very loyal person and it hurts to give up on something like that. If any of the people you work with or for expected you to stick around, they need their heads examined. I'm surprised that that place has any employees left! It is their job to make sure you are safe and they failed you TWICE. You've done the right thing, no matter how hard it was to do.

I'm just still so worried about the other two ladies. I mean, they both have some pretty serious health issues at the moment, and I just pray that neither of THEM gets hurt some Saturday because I'M not there. I just feel awful about it still.

*hugs back*

You did the right thing. If your employers really cared, they would have done something after the first time to prevent it happening again. It is unsafe to be left alone in a store like that...period end of story!

You have your boys and a wonderful husband to be stick around for. Who's do say they won't step up the violence next time. Please don't feel guilty for doing what was best for you and your family. Hugs!

Yeah, I had a really awful nightmare last night with a "stepped-up violence" storyline. My mind was made up for certain before I ever woke up today. :-(

I know. It will take some time, I'm sure, before I feel better about this. On the other hand, I don't think I would *ever* have felt good about going back this Saturday, either. *sigh*

Thanks, hon.

I understand why you feel guilty, but I think you did the right thing. I have a co-worker whose daughter works at PayDay Advance in Lincoln, she also closes. My co-worker has been trying to get her to find a different job. I told them your story and I really hope she considers it.

*huge hugs* Hang in there Nicole, only a day or so until Phillip is home!! =D

You shouldn't feel an ounce of guilt. That was just a job. That's all. You've got far more important things in your life to think about than that. And they had their chance to make it more safe for you and they didn't. You were strong to go back and you are strong to stand up for yourself and your family and say that your family needs you alive more than you need that job. And certainly more than they need you. If they needed you that much, they would have made it a safe place for you to work. But they did not.

No guilt.

Just look forward to thursday! Phillip will be home! (And I am sure that he will be glad to hear you quit -- I know that Mickey never would have "let" me go back the first time!)

Oh, Nicole. *hug*

You're doing the right thing. It might not seem like it, but there's no need to put yourself in that position if it can be avoided, and there's no need to feel guilty because of it. You're not doing it for any other reason than for your peace of mind, and that's more important. And no one can say you're selfish or anything because I'm sure no one would stand to be in that position.

You'll be okay. We're here for you.

Yeah, that's what other people keep telling me too. I had to go back, though - I had to know that I could beat the fear. Now I know that I can, but it's just not SAFE to go back - fear or no fear.
