The last batch of chocolate chip cookies are in the oven now, and I'm debating making some snickerdoodles later. Philip really loves both of those - and he deserves them, doesn't he? ;-)

It surreal, you know. It's just hard to actually believe that he's going to be home in such a short time that it's now actually okay to start baking for him again. Crazy! The wait was so long, but the end has been moving so fast!

We made a big banner today, and folks have been coming over all afternoon to sign it. He's got some major artwork to appreciate when he gets home! If any of you guys would like to add something to the banner, email it to me - I'll print it out and stick it on there for you. :-)

In less than 22 hours now, Philip will be back in the good ol' United States! (He will be spending the night in Baltimore tomorrow evening, but he won't be home until Wednesday morning.) Yay!

I'm really happy and excited for you! And you've got the right idea, you know? Bake tons of sweets and fatten him up when he gets back. Homemade treats are so good, he won't ever leave the house again.

What I need to do is get him fat enough that he can't deploy anywhere, but not fat enough that he'll be kicked out of the military. Sounds like a plan, right? ;-D

I get butterflies for you every time you talk about it. I'm so excited for you. How long is the flight from there? Do they fly home commercial or take the slow c130's or something? To think, he could be in the air very soon. I'm sure he must already at least be packed and getting paperwork and what not and getting the heck out of there. He has to be so excited too. I can't wait to hear about it all. SO EXCITED for you!!

Heehee. Luckily, I'm not one who really gets all nervous before planned meetings like this. :-)

As for flying in, I don't know exactly where their last international stop might be. I do know that he's coming into Baltimore tomorrow evening, and he'll be staying the night there. For that reason, I'm certain that they are flying commercial for at least that leg of the trip home.

I would assume that he is comming to BWI (Baltimore Washington International) so that could be where he gets his plane to you. I know that some military people have been flying in and out of there.

I will be thinking of all of you tommorrow!

(((hugs)))

Just catching up from the weekend... goodness... [hug].

Well, I'm glad he's homeward bound. I don't have a lengthy message for him, but give my regards or a "welcome home" or something like that. I'm anxious and happy for you all at once!
