I took off today at Runza so that I could be in attendance for Jack's Christmas program at preschool. I'm excited to see my little man in his theatrical debut, as he's been telling me for over a week now, "I'm a Wise Guy, Mama!"

A Wise Guy. Not Wise Man, mind you. I'm intrigued to hear if this is a parody of the birth of Jesus (doubtful, I think), or if Jack has made an innocent, yet humorous, mistake in the name of his character.

It should be fun, and the children will be in costumes. Click!

Woe is me.

I just accidentally deleted a digital video of Jack in his Christmas program this morning while trying to play it for Philip. It was adorable, too.

So sad.

I'm tired of making the effort when it seems like folks don't care. I don't know what I must've done, so I don't know how to fix it. And if I'm the only one worried to begin with, then I guess I'm about ready to let things just fizzle out.

*sigh*

Darn LJ. I'm still having issues finding everything quickly on this new update page. Grrrr.

What do I want to make for dinner?

My parents are coming for Christmas, and they should be arriving on Friday sometime. I want to become a "Nicole tornado" and clean the house, but the reality is that there's really not much to do in preparation for their arrival.

*twiddles thumbs*

I really should bake, though. I've got tons of cookie stuff, plus I bought ingredients for Puppy Chow and two Apple Blackberry Crumble Pies (I bet I know someone who would want the extra one!) But I'm just not too keen on actually getting everything out and making my kitchen all dirty.

Le sigh.

Three more Christmas cards came in the mail today, including one from [livejournal.com profile] happysmiles01. I also received a nifty Christmas e-card from [livejournal.com profile] scribeguy. Thanks, both of you!

We received a replacement package from HersheyGifts.com today. Er... I realize that I never wrote about the first package, eh? Well, my Aunt Edith surprised us with a huge box early last week from that company, and inside was a very large snowman cookie jar - only he was broken in about eight pieces! His head/top was intact, so I'd saved it, and I took pictures of the damage in case she needed them for a replacement to be sent out. She didn't, and they shipped us another one on Monday. It arrived today, though in more pieces than the first one had! But we have DOUBLE the chocolate candy that was inside the two snowmen (and it is a LOT!), and I have two perfectly cute snowman heads. I think I might use them as a pair of bookends - heehee.

My Draco icon cheers me up. It really does.

About that dinner...
