Rain.

Rain, rain, rain-y rain.

I'd really like a nice, hard rain right about now. Can you hear me, God? That is what I'd really like.

It's been sprinkling off and on all morning, and there was enough wet spots on the driveway this morning to indicate that there might have been a small bit of precipitation overnight. Then again, it could have just been 5 minutes of the big, fat ploppy drops that I drove through to drop the boys off at VBS this morning, too.

Incidentally, I forgot and left my sprinkler on the garden all night long. You certainly can't tell by the GARDEN that I would like some rain.

I bought a Coke this morning as I was filling up the car with gas. It has tasted funny to me all morning, but I only just seconds ago noticed why: it is Coke with LIME. Hrm. That's certainly NOT what I would have picked out if I had been paying attention.

Ah, well. It's wet, right? *takes another sip*

Power zucchini.

The power went out in the neighborhood went out for the last hour and a half or so. I had just started eating dinner, and Marissa scared me to death by banging on the window. She stayed for a while, and I grated zucchinis at the table using the last of the daylight. I am serious when I say that I have 10 cups of grated zucchini in a bowl in my fridge right now, and I have one more to grate. It's the very largest one, and it will probably make about 4-5 more cups by itself. Part of this came from the zucchinis a couple of days ago, but the rest comes from the 3 zucchinis pulled just today. I also snagged four more carrots out of the garden, too. :-)

Tomorrow I will be making bread. Lots and lots of bread. Each of my recipes call for 2 cups, and that then makes 2 loaves. You do the math. ;-)
