HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SPECIAL GALS!

[livejournal.com profile] desertmommy and [livejournal.com profile] poetlady, you two share a birthday!
Have an awesome one, both of you!

Kicking and Screaming was actually pretty good. Will Ferrell was very much the adult in this flick, and I think that helped improve my outlook of the movie. The boys really liked it as well, and Jack would even clap every time a player scored a goal.

The trailers, though... First off, my theater was one of the stupid ones in the country - one of the ones NOT playing the Goblet of Fire trailer on this film as it was SUPPOSED to be. I've only watched it about 50 times on my computer already, but hey - that's not enough! I also made a special note to remember the trailers that *were* shown so that I could add them to my Netflix queue when I returned home. Here are the results:

So, 50/50. I'll have to check back on the others later.

Grooming.

Jack and I dropped off Kiki this morning at the groomer's. I got lost while driving there, had to come back and get my cell phone, and then I had to start all over again. Still, we only made it 10 minutes later than our 9am appointment.

Kiki was in my bedroom, sunning herself on the recliner and looking out the window. I picked her up and walked her out to the car. Baby was standing in the hallway when I did so, and since she saw Kiki be taken away, she knows something is wrong. Poor kitty - she's going nuts. She's alternating back and forth between sitting right at the front door, waiting patiently for Kiki's return, and clinging to my lap or my shoulders. Even as I type this, Baby is in my lap and keeps nudging my forearms (causing me to backspace quite a bit). She's a worried kitty. :-(

I just hopped out of the shower, and I need to go 'groom' myself, actually. I put in my contacts for the first time in about 3 months today. We've reached the season where I need to be wearing sunglasses in the car, and it's awkward to put them over my glasses (and I don't want to go get *new* sunglasses or clip-ons). However, I already had a headache this morning, and I'm afraid that since it's been so long, putting them in may not help. We'll see.

I've got a very long editorial to post on MuggleNet today, and I think I'll get started on it after I get back from picking up Kiki. We've also got to go buy milk and pick up an order of pictures for starrchld Annie at Wal*Mart.

Alrightee. I've got to get moving and get this towel turban off of my head. :-)

This headache is getting ridiculous. I'm starting to feel sick, and it's getting tough to turn my head to the right now...

We picked Kiki up from the groomer. She is so fluffy and beautiful, and her tush is so adorably trimmed! I daresay she was very happy to see me and Jack, though. We brought her straight home, and Baby commenced loving on her and sniffing her right away.

Then Jack and I went back out to buy milk and pick up the pictures. While there, I also snagged a few CDs: Joe Nichols' Revelation, Craig Morgan's I Love It and Miranda Lambert's Kerosene. We have other CDs from the first two, but Miranda has only released one single so far - 'Me and Charlie Talking' - and I listen to it on the computer lots already, so I decided to try the whole CD.

Afterwards, we went to lunch at Long John Silver's. While walking up the gangplank entry walk, we argued over whether the restaurant was a big ship or a little ship. We finally settled on it being a medium ship. Then inside, Jack pretended that Daddy was eating his lunch in the boat next to him. I asked him all sorts of questions, and I found out that Daddy was eating a piece of fish, a piece of chicken, 17 clams and 5 ketchups. He was also drinking root beer. Isn't it cute that Daddy ate the EXACT SAME THING that Jack happened to be eating? ;-) And Jack kept looking over and talking to the empty chair beside him, just having a good ol' time. I hope that Daddy enjoyed his meal as much as Jack did. As we were leaving, Jack rang the bell twice - once for himself and once for Daddy (because "his arms are tied up for when we throw him out of the boat").

Hope Daddy can swim!

I kept promising af_cop Philip a picture post, but I'm just now getting around to it.
