We'll be leaving within the hour, though at this moment, Philip and I are still the only ones awake! He's in the shower, and I just finished installing the basics on Nancy's new computer (SNOOD, of course!).

The rest of the story will have to come later - once we're back at home. :-)

I need someone to remove both Minesweeper and SNOOD from my computer. If this doesn't happen, I fear I will never tend to the mounds of zucchini in my fridge (6, plus 3 more LARGE ones I pulled today!), nor will I continue getting the house ready for vacation.

I'm a game-whore.

I just lost a game of SNOOD. I hate losing. :-(

I've made mad progress on the computer today. I processed and backed up over 4 GB of pictures today, and now my computer is blissfully empty. I even made three copies of the back-ups, as I'm sending all our pictures to my mom (it was her request) and my mother-in-law. I'll send them a new CD each month with the previous month's pictures on it, and they won't have to worry about taking up so much space on their own computers by saving every picture I send by email.

The computer feels so free. It's practically dancing, I promise you. It is so happy to be rid of every picture from last September until this past June (just a few days ago), and it's almost giddy with glee.

(Okay, maybe that's just me. *grin*)

I did five loads of laundry today, but I stopped this evening before doing mine and Philip's bedding. We'll do ours tomorrow, but the boys are having their "New Sheet Night" tonight. Philip deep-cleaned our bathroom, and he'll do the boys' tomorrow. I'm going to dust everything really well and clean all the floors. We're starting to get everything ready for vacation mode.

I pulled two more zucchinis out of the garden, so now we're up to six total. I'm making some more bread tomorrow, and I think we'll also have another one with dinner. It looks like another 1-2 more might be ready to pick tomorrow as well...

I'm still losing the battle against the ground squirrels. We tried putting empty soda cans under the tomato plants (someone told us the sound of the wind in the empty can frightens them away), but it doesn't appear to be working either. I'm just out of ideas, and I hate that they're eating tons of our tomatoes every day. :-(

I need to make a post about the get-together on the 4th. I already posted about the 3rd, but I've not yet done the 4th. I'll get to that right now. ;-)
