For being home all day, I got very little done.

I have four loads of laundry awaiting my magic folding fingers. I'm retiring my voice for the evening beginning right now, as I know that it will take a while for the coughing to stop already.

I do have a fuller-than-full load of dishes washing right now. I washed several pots by hand, in fact, as they wouldn't fit in the dishwasher. I also have several candle holders that I couldn't fit in, either.

I paid all the bills yesterday, and I need to mail one, but I have no stamps. It's practically moot today anyway, as I never made it out to the mailbox, nor did anyone else check it in the afternoon.

I need to make some specific posts on specific topics for specific people. One in particular, I want to take a picture before making the post, and I've lagged on taking said picture.

Ah, well. I should get to that laundry now before it gets much later. I open the store tomorrow, and then I have a full day ahead of me.

Today is 'Push Through Laundry' Day. For the first time in ages, I've not done the laundry every other day or so. In fact, I've not done the laundry since last Saturday, so I've got FIVE loads to do. Both hampers were completely full in the closet this morning! The first load is in the dryer now, and the second is in the washer. Jack's soccer shirt is in that second load, so I have to be sure that it makes it to the dryer ASAP - he needs it for his game this afternoon at 2pm.

I'm such a slacker. I'm not, usually, but I certainly was with the laundry this week. I also know that I'm not going to want to put away this many clothes at one time later this evening when they're all clean and I've got Mt. Clotherest on my bed.

I had M&Ms for breakfast. They were yummy at the time, but my tummy is trying to decide right now if they were worth it. Probably should've gone ahead and eaten the banana I'd planned to first. Hmm.

Relaxing.

My wrists are killing me. I think it's time to see if I can find some of those wrist supports for putting next to my keyboard and mouse. I wonder if they carry those at Wal*Mart?

We went to the lake at my friend Ann's house yesterday morning. I was surprised that the water was already warm enough to get into at 9:30am, and we had a good time. There were lots of folks around (it was a group playdate), but Philip and I were the only parents to get fully into the water and swim with our kids. Yeah, I hate the way I look in a swimsuit, but it's worth it to be playing with my kiddos, you know?

I took a big fruit salad for everyone, and Ann threw hotdogs on the grill. The kids all decided to dress up in Rudi's many, many outfits and have a fancy tea party. A.J. and Jack were two of the three boys there, and though they didn't dress up, they did partake of their first "tea party" tea - peach tea with a spoonful of sugar. The little plastic playsets were cute, and so were the kids' behavior and manners during the party. I guess this is one of the things I miss out on by having two boys, eh?

We all showered and cleaned up when we got home, and I decided that we'd stay inside for the afternoon rather than playing outdoors per usual. After playing hard in the morning, it was nice to spend those really hot hours indoors and relax instead. I did three loads of laundry and tidied up around the house. Philip left for work last night, and the boys and I didn't go outside until almost 8:30pm, after we'd eaten a late dinner. We went out to have our ice cream cones, and we played about 50 games of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" together on the picnic table. I also taught A.J. how to clap his hands in the twisting rhythm (you know, like you used to do in elementary and middle school with your friends). We came inside shortly after the lightning bugs came out.

I'm still plugging away at making icons for everyone, though [livejournal.com profile] owensboro_hope has unexpectedly clogged up the queue (through no part of her own, I should add). When your icon is done, I'll comment with it to you in the original post, so keep an eye out!

As much as I want to get to scrapbooking that particular page, I am going to make myself go fold and put away the three loads of fresh laundry on my bed.

Annnnnnnnd... GO!
