Confuzzled.
Mar. 26th, 2006 11:24 pmI got all confused this morning. See, first the alarm went off on my side of the bed. I snoozed it, and then as I was snuggling back into bed, I thought to myself, "It's Saturday. Why in the world did I set the alarm?" When it went off again nine minutes later, I remembered my thinking, and I turned it off completely.
And we overslept for church. Oops.
Then, before turning on the TV or hearing anything anywhere else, I checked my friends' page on LiveJournal. One of the very first posts I read was
little_liebchen's post about Daylight Savings Time. I didn't read through her comments, either. I got up from the computer and walked to reset the clock on the microwave, all the while thinking to myself, "Huh. I didn't realize it was DST already! I'm so glad Karyn 'told' me!" I went back to the bedroom and told Philip as well, as he was getting dressed to go to the store and buy milk.
After he left, I got to thinking about how odd it was that I couldn't remember hearing anything at all this week about DST. I decided to look it up on Google, and I found out that DST is, in fact, next weekend. I went back to Karyn's post, and this time I read through the comments... which explained easily that Europe changes for DST a week before the United States.
Oops.
Ah, well. I should really be on the ball for this NEXT weekend!
