I'm thinking seriously of attending a weekend scrapbooking retreat.

This is "serious biz," as I've not really scrapbooked since we've lived in this house (that's over two years now). I don't even know where to BEGIN to find all the things that I would need for the projects I would want to take/work on... because I can't even remember what I was last working on!

I am going to email her and ask if I could do it for just one day since I don't want to be away from John for the whole weekend (and I don't think Shane would go for it).

REALLY?! OMG! *bounces*

That would be awesomesauce! I didn't want to ask, because I knew that you couldn't be baby-less for so long, but even in considering it, I was already sad that you wouldn't be there.

(That was a long, awkwardly-worded sentence.)

I could barely get through that sentence ;)

*points to your icon* there's a lot of stuff that hasn't happened lately.

I emailed to try to get an email contact for the other consultant. I'd really like to tackle some of these pictures. I ordered 800 pictures from Shutterfly a few weeks ago. That was only from Catherine's birthday until now. And I forgot to order from the pictures that you and Heidi took of the party :/

Do it! I find scrapbooking to be one of the most revitalizing and therapeutic things I can do for myself, and I always feel accomplished after I put a page together!

Don't worry about where you left off. Pick some pictures you'd like to work on and start there. :) Do what you feel, and you will have a fantastic time!

(And then post pictures of what you did so we can all see!)

*HUGS*

And to think... I used to actively post pictures of my pages...

YEARS ago. Ahhh, memories! ;-)

I say go for it! Don't worry about where you left off - start fresh. If you can't find all your tools, etc, then just take what you can put together easily. I've gotten some of my best scrapping done when I have a limited arsenal to work with. Besides, I'm sure there'll be ladies there willing to lend you some of their stuff!

What a coincidence, I am having a weekend scrapbooking retreat at my house, on...uh...when did you want to scrapbook? That's when I'm having it. :D

GO GO GO!!!!! I can't begin to tell you how incredibly awesome it was to go for an entire weekend! As for projects.... pick something current and fun - say a bunch of pages of the boys.

I had two very specific projects to work on at my retreat last weekend - my FIL's birthday album (the pics had been printed for a YEAR) and then starting Creighton's CREW album. I was beyond thrilled to get 57 pages complete!!! I almost wish I'd had everything ready to start his senior album which will be an overview of his first 18 years.

*needs another retreat*
