navygreen: (Easter Eggs)

Can I just say how badly I wish this new cold front would NOT come? Minnesota, you're more than welcome to keep your snow - I don't want it, and especially not for Easter weekend. It's so ridiculous, too. The forecast is for a high of 40° on Sunday with a chance of snow, but it should be sunny with a high of 60° the very next day, Monday.

Wouldn't it make so much more sense to just skip Sunday's weather and go straight to Monday's? We've hunted Easter eggs in the snow before (when we lived in Alaska), and it's just not as much fun.

Plus, our new Easter outfits are not suited for snow. *sigh*

I sorry. You should fly to Florida for Easter :) It's a balmy 70 up to 79!

Yes. Yes, we probably should.

It's the midwest (or Nebraska). As the saying goes, if you don't like the weather, stick around, it'll change.

Oh, we'll stick around. But c'mon - the weather is supposed to be PERFECT for Easter festivities on MONDAY.

But not snow for Easter! Not with really cute new Easter outfits (which are shorts)!

I'm glad your candles arrived. :-)

My Easter dress isn't so flexible, I think. If I'd worn a sweater, it would've looked odd.

Well, I'm not sure how flexible adult easter dresses are, I do everything in my power to never wear a dress or skirt EVER if possible. ;)

Kyra's was really easy though! And I just shopped in her closet! Gotta love hand-me-downs. :)

I know! I remember doing our Easter egg hunt last year and Matthew didn't even need a coat..now this year I'm going to have to make sure he's fully covered. I want spring weather already!

When we hunted eggs in Anchorage one year, we had to dig out little holes in the 3-foot snow to hide the eggs. Of course, then the eggs really stuck out!

We are supposed to have rain and its supposed to be cool and not cold but the weather man is never right around here. Thats the only job I know where you can screw up everyday and still have a job at the end of the week.

I want to put my boys in a cute outfit with shorts and little sandals but I don't think that will ever happen :( I'm going to Pennys today to look for something cute.

The boys have their cute short outfits, but they're not going to be able to wear them. I'm so bummed.

If you have a regular new Easter outfit, and another just for inclement Easter days, you are really so much more ahead of the game than anyone else I know on this planet.

It's just because Easter is so frickin' early this year. Give us three more weeks, and I'll bet the weather would be divine.

No! It should not be cold for Easter!! I don't like it being this early either. A couple of years ago it was around my dad's birthday, the 16th of April, and I liked that just fine. Why must it jump around??

Exactly - it should not be cold! I know *why* it jumps around, but I do wish it would just settle on mid-April every year.

Oh, I will go to church in my new dress. I will FREEZE on my way in, but I will be wearing my new dress!

There were definitely a handful of people at our church that must've been as determined as you to wear their dresses... but most people were still wearing warmer, winter clothes. ;-)
