Boy things.

Philip just left to take the boys to do some "boy things."
He's on his way to the Lied Center to sign Jack up for an indoor soccer league. We gave the option to both boys, but A.J. politely declined (as expected, really). Jack, however, leapt at the opportunity (also as expected). I'm sure he will have so much fun during his Saturday morning practices/games, and I'm excited to see my little guy ripping it up on the indoor field.
After registration, they're heading over to the comic book store to sell A.J.'s Yu-Gi-Oh! card collection. A few months ago, while cleaning his room, A.J. decided that he is now "way past Yu-Gi-Oh!, Mom," so we set them aside for selling/donating. He is still fully immersed in Pokemon, I should add, and any monies that he might make from selling the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are likely to fund the next purchase of Pokemon ones. Ah, but it's what he enjoys, right?
I'm sure Philip will have a fine time in the comic book store, too. He stops by every couple of weeks and picks up the newest editions in the handful of series that he reads. ;-)

Date: 2008-01-27 01:47 am (UTC)I think it's a very underrated sport. It's much more exciting than the outdoor version, and I think is better for kids to get into the sport since they have to react and think a lot quicker. The only draw back is that I think it's a bit of an odd transition to the outdoor game, but most kids are able to do it.
Which reminds me... I need to make it to a KiXX game this year. ^_^
