I have a hot pink credit card now. It's a Victoria's Secret® Angel™ credit card.

I swear, I didn't realize I was getting a credit card. I honestly thought, as I made a purchase there last week (my first ever in that store!), that I was just signing up for a rewards program: ie. the Hallmark® Gold Crown™ rewards, or Blockbuster® rewards - something like that.

I wondered what was taking the purchase so long to hit my bank account, and then I received two mailings from VS today: 1) my actual credit card, and 2) my first bill.

So I just set up my account online, and I paid the bill in full (after all, I thought the money was coming out of my bank account anyway). I feel kinda foolish about opening a credit card without realizing it, though. I debated closing it, but Philip decided I should keep it.

So I have a hot pink credit card now.

Canceling cards is bad for your credit, oddly. It's better to pay it off, keep it open, and cut it up.

Oh man, that's what happened to me a few years ago. They DON'T make it clear that what you're doing is applying for a credit card. I thought it was like a rewards card, too...like the one I have for The Body Shop, or Barnes & Noble. A discount card. Yeah. But it wasn't. And the thing was, I didn't buy at VS for a long time and they were still billing me, so I had my brother call and end the situation. Which makes me sound like a wimp, but he has a really deep voice and he's assertive, so he's good for that sort of thing.

I have a Discover card with a dolphin on it. You can pick from a bunch of different styles they have available, and I love dolphins. It's blue though, not hot pink ;) My MC is gray, and my Target card is red.

Nothing pink though, and I don't carry a wallet because I don't own one. Come to think of it, I don't tend to carry much of anything when I go out. Usually it's "Here, Adam. Hold this for a while..." hehe

I used to carry only a wallet. Then I just tossed my wallet into the diaper bag for several years there. Now I carry a wallet, the checkbook, chapstick, a pen and ibuprofen in my purse.
