I talked about it before, but I put up the Banzai Falls waterslide for the first time this summer on Friday. It was also the first time since we've lived in this house (we moved here in November), so we had to scout a good location first.

Set-up complete.

I decided on the mostly flat area to the right of our swingset, but not too far from the embankment leading up to the property-line fencing. It was a perfect spot to easily see from the house, too - I took that picture while standing under one of our trees not too far from our picnic table.

Jack goes down for his first slide.

A.J. tests the water first.

(I took this picture while standing in the shade from the "tower" part of our swingset. It was HOT out there!)

I seriously never can get over how HUGE your yard is!

And I want one of those things so bad, haha. It looks like so much fun. :)

I cannot get all of the yard in one picture. Not really even in two. I wish that I could, but... alas.

Oh that looks so fun! I always wanted one when I was a kid but we never had the money to afford one.

And I agree with [livejournal.com profile] daphyn, your yard is massive! :)

*snuggles Jack and AJ and you of course*

I didn't think they had these when you/we were little? We bought ours last year, and Banzai Falls had only come out in 2005...

I had regular Slip 'n Slides, though. Loved those. But this waterslide is like one of those on CRACK.

Ohh well I always wanted a Slip N' Slide :) Those were the only things that were out when I was a kid. Or a swimming pool...those wading ones? That would have been fun too :D

When the girls are just a little older, you guys should definitely invest in one. Ally could do it now, as the foot-range for the climbing "steps" in the back is just a a bit of a stretch for a 3-year-old (as noted in our many playdates last summer), and Soph could play in the water at the bottom. I can't slide down the thing myself - too heavy. :-/

I wish I could get the entire yard in one picture, but it's just possible. Our old yard was really big too, but when we moved this past fall, we wound up with even a much BIGGER yard!

How fun! I think I need to look into getting one of these but not sure my yard is nearly large enough for it. And I thought my yard was huge! Looking forward to more pics throughout the summer!

Seriously, our old yard was huge anyway, but the one at this house is absolutely MONSTROUS. Now you know why I have lawn service. ;-)

Girl, the whole weekend I was really wishing you weren't gone! Like you said, it was the PERFECT weekend for the waterslide. *cries* Of course, this coming weekend is shaping up to be just as wonderful... put it on your calendar tentatively, okay? ;-)

Oh this weekend would be PERFECT! We are having a bunch of guys (family) over to finish the retaining wall and cement work outside. It'd get us girls away from the house! I'm totally game, if you're free!

We just got done making our snacks too!!!! :-D Got some room in your fridge/freezer for a few things? ;) I wanted something cool, cuz I thought today was supposed to be miserable.

And go figure lol Andy broke down and turned the air on last night @@ He put a special filter IN the furnace, with a sanitizing anti microbial scent thing. PLUS put filters on every vent in the house lol And now it's perfectly fine (to me lol) to have the windows open haha

It's big, I know. It's a shame we didn't garden this year (just too much work on my own), but watch out next year!
