There's a buck and a doe in my yard! Of course, they are the animated, light-up variety - not the real thing. But they're so pretty!

(Philip bought me these two deer at clearance sales last year after the holidays, so this is the first time I've ever seen/had them. I love it!)

They are! I didn't know that they were animated until I put them together - not bad for $5 on clearance, eh? They're sooooo neat!

it's so funny because i'm a jogger and two days ago no one had any christmas decorations up. now everyone does. the single-mindedness of the world is amusing. i do like the deer, but i'm not big on the nativity scenes. somehow a plastic jesus seems almost sacrilegious.

I do know what you mean. I'm not big in the nativity lights displays either - I just like the "fun" stuff for my holiday lights. We put our icicle roof lights up (and turned on, I should add) five days ago, and I've been slowly getting the rest out. But as of tonight, about six more houses on my street have put out holiday lights - all at the same time!

(We decorate really big with lights for Halloween, too. I love my holidays!)
