Checklist for Monday evening.

My boys are so easy to put to bed. Hug, kiss, goodnight, turn off the lights, shut the door - done! I love that.

Jack and I are planning to eat lunch with A.J. at school tomorrow. It's actually kind of pathetic that this is now his fourth year at the elementary school (K-3), but I've never thought to do this before. On the menu for tomorrow is hot dogs, so I'm sure we'll all enjoy our lunch.

I've got a small checklist of things to get done here in the office tonight, and I'm going to put it down here to keep myself motivated:
  • Add dental appointments to day planner (I just remembered that they are still listed on cards on the fridge)

  • File music CDs we purchased on vacation into our collection (they've already been put into iTunes)

  • Fill out cell phone rebate form and ready it for the mail

  • Download pictures from A.J.'s birthday party

  • Finish uploading screencaps from "Snakes On a Plane (Bring It)" music video

  • File paperwork (bank and bill statements, ATM receipts)

  • Write repair form to Canon

  • Put up a new Underground Lake editorial

That should keep me fairly busy, I think. :-)

Edited to add: Everything is done now, so I've taken out the strikes. :-)

*sigh* I wish I had your togetherness. And your seemingly endless supply of energy. (I was so sorry to hear about your hubby's redeployment. I've heard of that happening a lot lately. Iraq 2007, indeed.)

Ha - "togetherness." Oh, you make me LOL, Sara!

My dad used to come eat with me fairly regularly, too. He always wanted to know when we were having burritos or tacos, but he came for pizza a few times as well.

Lists like that make me tired.
Have fun at the lunch!

Sounds like you have quite the to-do list :-) Looks like you got everything done! I wish I could get so much done in a day, much less and evening!

I got the copies made today and finished the list. Now that everything is done, I've unstriked them all. :-)

I don't ever remember any of my classmates eating lunch with their parents. Above comments have mentioned "good times," but I would think it would make other kids tease your son, not be jealous of him. That's just my opinion though... Maybe he is still young enough :-)

He seemed to have a really good time. In fact, after I mentioned that we could come on Tuesday, he called my friend Heather and asked her to lunch with him on Friday. She did, and he thought that was a FABULOUS time. Both of us spent the time chatting with his friends, too.

I hope he stays "young enough" for yet a little while. :-)
