I got such a kick out of this that I had to share. :-)

My friend catharin posted this a while ago, and I found it true and funny.

"What's your least favorite word? Mine would have to be "procedure," or "pus". The former has absolutely no positive denotations or connotations whatsoever, and the second is so accurately nasty-sounding, a perfect complement for the substance it embodies, that it resembles a swear word. Not even a swear word--worse! Much worse! Try it if you don't believe me. Say your favorite profanity aloud. Now say the word "pus" aloud.


...you winced, didn't you? You did. Because it's just that bad.

What's your least favorite word? I hear "moist" is exceptionally unpopular, particularly among women."

I like panties. And even though it makes me think of the lacy, satiny, pretty kind, I even tell my son's to go retrieve their panties sometimes! LOL I dated a guy once who called them 'der-wear. I found that cute too.

I think we just call them "underwear" - mine and the boys. Philip's we call "boxers," of course. (Oh noes - TMI!)
