My pal
rafferty posted a meme yesterday in which, if I commented, he promised to make me a userpic from one of the interests listed in my userinfo. I thought, "What the heck? Why not?!"
This morning I woke up to my prize, and it's perfect! He combined TWO of my interests, AND he added humor! I love it! I would never have thought of it on my own, but it is so great!

"Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr.
Pepper. Even Hermione
gets lost in it."
Thanks so much, Herb! :-D
And now, my dear LJ friends, I will pass on the meme to you:
Depending on how many folks decide to participate, I will not promise that all icons will be made today. Or tomorrow, even. But I will do my very best to get them all out within a week or so.

1) Comment and I'll pick one of your LJ interests and make you an icon.
2) You have no say in what I make.

Date: 2006-06-23 04:29 am (UTC)You had a TON of your interests already covered, so it was difficult for me to pick something. I went with Indiana Jones, and then I decided to make something from *MY* favorite of the trilogy. It's taken me the entire last day and a half to download screencaps from the entire movie and then filter down to about 100 that I thought I might use. From there, I ended up choosing one moment in the film that always makes me giggle so hard - the poor librarian stamping his books! I thought you'd like it just as much, and ta-da!
I even watched the movie this afternoon for more inspiration, so this icon has really caused me to do my "homework." It was fun, though, and I'm going to save the rest of these caps and possibly make an entire set of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade icons later on. :-)

Date: 2006-06-23 04:45 am (UTC)You are a true icon artist, so I look forward to anything that you make. I've got LOTS of ideas banging around in my head for an "Indy" set now, but I won't let myself start making any of those until I'm done with these that I've promised folks!

Date: 2006-06-23 04:49 am (UTC)As for being a true icon artist, I like to dabble, and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. So I really don't think of myself as anything but a novice to the whole thing.
As for Indy icons, I'll have to do that this weekend. I so love my Power DVD and the ability to capture what I want and not just what I can find in someone else's screencaps. :-)
