Cold.

I've been cold for five days straight now, and it's fairly ridiculous. Today I've worn a jacket all day long, never taking it off. This is highly atypical behavior for me, as I'm generally warm enough to cook eggs on my forehead.

Excepting, of course, that it would be gross.

The weather is rainy and chilly today, but for the rest of the week, I've really had no excuse to be so cold. No one in the house has been cold - just me. Even sleeping: whereas I typically can go to bed a bit cold but wake hours later quite toasty, I've been going to bed cold and waking up absolutely freezing, with purplish fingertips, even. Today I finally told Philip this: "Screw you. I'm turning the heat back on." (And he had a comment for that, you can be sure. *wink*)

So I did turn the heat on. And I've warmed up a bit, but I'm still wearing my jacket, and I'm still not what I would classify as "independently comfortable." Meaning, I'm still wrapped up in blankets and the like, and I'm still intending to sleep with socks on again (another thing I never do).

Since the moment it arrived, the yellow-and-blue fleece blanket has never really left the office chair. I wrap up in it whenever I am at the computer (and let's be honest - I practically *live* in front of it). Still, I doubt that she would believe it to be true, but I really do thank [livejournal.com profile] gardenmama every single day for making me this blanket last year, and it has been a special gift of warmth these last five days. :-)

I'm always cold too. There is a reason I'm addicted to hot cocoa!

I'm never cold - that's what makes this whole thing so strange! I did indulge in a cup of Butterfinger cocoa last night, though. ;-)

I'm so glad to hear that :) I've been thinking I should make a new one for myself. My original one has been washed so many times it's not soft and snuggly any more :( But I'll wait till the puppy is done with her chewing phase. I've had to put "my" blanket away and hide Scott's during the day because she loves to chew on the fringe.

Yep, I use it all the time. I'm sitting with it right now. I don't know how to sew, but I've contemplated making a few of these myself.

That's the beauty of them. Absolutely no sewing involved. I can email you the instructions if you want. They are super simple to make :)
