It was lovely to open my email this morning and find, among other messages, 73 LiveJournal comments in my inbox.

It was not lovely, however, to read through them and discover that only 4 of the messages were new comments.

*glares at LJ's comment-delivering service*

On the agenda for the day, I am answering comments. I have been lax since this whole delivering fiasco started about three weeks ago, and I intend to fix that. Watch out, folks - here come the replies!

Yeah, I'm getting the backed up messages, too. Only, yahoo mail puts them in the box by date, so I have to search back through my 'unread' mails. Fotunately, there haven't been any messages I've missed along the way--and I've long since responded to the comments and such.

Looks like that's what we're all doing today. Some I have to open the original thread to see if I already commented to it since during that time I'd check LJ and not just my inbox since I knew they were failing.

This is a PITA but I'm glad they're getting it back to normal, FINALLY.

In your particular case, LJ was probably saving them for you, seeing as how you were gone for a few days there. ;-)

LJ has been having issues. they moved their data center from one city to another, and one bad effect was that comment notification emails got messed up for a while. they have fixed the problem and now backlogged messages are being delivered.
