Stuff. Is. Everywhere.

I met with my MaryKay consultant this morning for a little bit. She came over to my house, and I ordered a few new things. My foundation color was off due to the little tan I picked up over the spring and summer, but since it's party season now, I wanted to make sure I was prepared with the right color for right now. It was a nice visit, but I did feel a little bad about having stuff just everywhere when she arrived.
See, that's the thing about parties. Especially when you've got things going for TWO parties at once. The Halloween party is this weekend, but then our Hogwarts birthday party is next weekend. I have lists all over the fridge for myself, and STUFF everywhere. House banners, prizes, decorations, food supplies, etc. I stupidly had decided to scrapbook in the middle of all of this as well, so there was that spread out too. Hot glue guns on the kitchen counter, the boys' new pictures sorted into piles on my desk and the kitchen counters, waiting to be mailed out (which I'm thinking is now NOT going to get done this week - I see it as a real possibility), all of Philip's many cards and letters and memorabilia that he returned home with (which is why I was trying to get it scrapbooked and out of the way)... there's just STUFF all over!
Tomorrow begins the real crunch time. I'm getting the final head count for the Halloween party tonight, and then tomorrow I will make the final lists for shopping. I've taken tons of pictures throughout all of the party planning stages (starting when I made the invitations with popcorn balls), and I'll show them once I get a moment to even get the rest off of the camera!
Still, I'm so excited! I only just wish that I could have waved my wand and done a quick Scourgify! spell before Veronica arrived for our appointment this morning. ;-)

Date: 2005-10-26 11:24 pm (UTC)Actually, probably every picture you've seen of me has been WITHOUT make-up. I only put it on for holiday parties (and even then, I only seem to use it for parties between October-December) and professional pictures (only once a year, if that). Still, I wanted to make sure I have the right colors for the upcoming parties. :-)
