Tonight at 10:06pm was this month's full moon. Of course, even though it's now 2.5 hours past that time, the moon still appears to be a gorgeous full to the naked eye.

Anyone who knows me knows that I moon-gaze each month. I take our binoculars and I stand in the yard or on the driveway in the wee hours of the morning and lovingly stare up at the lunar picture show. I go out the night before the full moon (last night), the night of the full moon (tonight) and also the night after the full moon (tomorrow night). There are 3 nights a month that are magical in their own right for me. And it always seems that the full moon nights are never cloudy - I always get to see that which I love so much.

I love the moon. It looks the same each month, yet so new and exciting each time I see it.

We have this guy in the neighborhood called the Streetcorner Astronomer. He brings out his high powered telescope and sets it up on weekedn nights so everyone can look at the sky.

Oh, I *wish*! Please, ask Mr. Streetcorner Astronomer to come and visit me! In fact, if he could possibly visit me next month, on the night of May 23rd, that would be IDEAL!
