The most important meal of the day.

I was so very in the mood for orange cinnamon rolls this morning. I allowed myself to drool at the very thought of them while I dressed Jack for school. He doesn't like cinnamon rolls, so I decided to drop him off at Preschool and then come home and make the gooey goodness all for myself.
After I dropped him off though, I decided to run by Hallmark and pick up one more box of Christmas cards (it seems that 105 isn't *quite* enough this year, and I need just a few more). When I stepped out of the car, I could smell the wonderful, breakfast-y aromas wafting from the nearby McDonald's, Burger King and Vidlak's Family Cafe. It was almost more than I could stand, and I very nearly ran off to order a plate of eggs, bacon and biscuits. But I held fast. I bought my cards, and I drove home. "No sense spending money on breakfast when I have lovely orange cinnamon rolls just waiting to be baked at home," I told myself.
My tummy growled loudly as I approached the door. I came inside, shed my coat and put my package down. I strolled to the oven to turn it on to preheat. I decided to check first and make sure nothing was hiding inside...
*peek*
Drat! A whole cake plate of Apple Cupcakes (from the Wrapping Party) was inside the oven. Yes, I knew that I could just move them to the countertop while I baked my cinnamon rolls, but I also felt sheepish at the thought of baking something soft, bread and frosted with sweet goodness when I already had something... well, soft, bread and frosted with sweet goodness made.
So I ate two cupcakes and had a glass of milk instead. It wasn't what I wanted, but enh - I'm sure it's better to get rid of the other stuff first.
