Playing with dinner, an Egyptian hieroglyph

Philip had to work last night (he was called in off of his leave, due to low manning), so he slept in today. I took the boys over to Maria and Bobby's house to play. They have a neat new Slip 'n Slide now - it's SpiderMan, and it's two slides connected together so that the kids can race on the way down. As always, the boys are so tired by the time it's time to come home. Poor Jack just conked out on the living room floor.

Nothing sounds good for dinner. It'll either be homemade hamburger pizza or something with salmon. Hmmm...

A.J. just came up to me and said, "I like ladybugs, but if they are in my sandwich... I'm giving it back." No further explanation. Now he's doing an Egyptian dance, saying it's his 'birthday dance.' He cracks me up!

I've been gone for over a week and just read your latest entries. Big hugs for you, sweetie...you really deserve better than that. A guilty conscience leads to nasty behavior from some people.

The thing with AJ and the guy at the door was un-freaking-believable. What type of person would DO that to a child?? Certainly not someone you'd consider a friend, that's for sure.

I hope you are able to put this all behind you soon.

Thank you soooo much, Gillianne. I've missed you so much this week! Yes, things have been difficult, but I'm determined to just let it all go now. I won't speak to these people again, and they can write whatever they want to in their journals - it's all garbage, and it's just plain sad how nearly every entry has to be about us or the situation in some way - even though they CLAIM that it's all over. Urgh.

I might open up the entry later, when it's moved way down on my journal, but for now, that entry is locked. Therefore, I'm going to move this comment of yours. I don't want them to know how much they're getting to us, you know?
