Surprise and Girls Nights.
Jan. 15th, 2011 09:48 pmWhew! Today has been run-run-run, I swear! I worked on cookies until almost 7am this morning (after having a 2+ hour-long phone call between 1:30-3:30am!), and then I went to bed when Philip came home. At noon, I started shifting awake and got up to take pictures of the cookies.
(It's all about the cookie photoshoots, people. You know that by now.)
The cookies were for a birthday bash tonight. My friend Jennifer's 40th, and it was a surprise. It was snowing-and-blowing, so I got on the road extra early to make sure I beat the guest-of-honor to the restaurant. I also had to stop and get a card on the way, too. I tucked in a gift certificate to her fave coffee joint in her card, and I was signing it at the table just minutes before she arrived!
It was a wonderful time, and now I'm home, but just for a moment. I'm headed across the street for a late start into my neighbor Valeen's "girls night" now! What a crazy Saturday!
