An eye update.

At the advice of many (several from my dear LJ), I visited a doctor. On Thursday, my left cheekbone began feeling tender and sore, and I knew bad things were in store. I went to bed early to avoid feeling the pain (sleep = no pain), and also so that I could wake up early and call for an acute appointment.

The verdict? No one knows for sure. I have no signs of pink eye, but the swelling and discoloration is prominent. I don't have a fever or drainage (eye, or otherwise). I have no vision changes, but I can hardly touch my face from my nose to just above my brows for pain. My doctor ruminated with two others, and then an extra came back into the room with her to gander at my eyes (along with an assistant). Their best bet is some sort of virus (since it had spread to the second eye), but they're treating it in the event it's a bacterial infection instead.

It's alarming, the pain. It really, really hurts, and it's also lop-sided: the inner corner of my right eye, and the outer corner of my left eye. I feel like I can't get my bearings every time I blink in pain. Truly weird.

Since it was Friday, and they are closed on the weekends, I'm to go back next week unless I am, "exactly 100% better." Here's hoping...

Today marks exactly six months since we moved into this house. As well, today marks exactly eight years since we moved into our first house in Nebraska. To celebrate, our phone number there ended in '0619' (June 19th).

Time absolutely flies by, I swear.
