Cookies for a goodbye.

On Friday, I was sad to learn that it was my last day working with JoAnn. It turns out that she's being transferred to the Runza in Millard, and I really enjoy working with her on Mondays and Fridays. She'd joked with me that she really wanted some of my chocolate chip cookies (she knew I'd given Ryan some), and I toyed around with bringing some of the last few left at home in for her on Friday, but decided that I'd bring her some fresher ones some other time... only to find out it was the last day I'd work with her. :-(

It was a sudden decision, and she'd not really been given much choice about it. But she does live in Millard, so she'll save on gas in not commuting. It's just that she liked the staff here at our Runza better. I'm sad to see her go.

But tomorrow is payday, so I'm up making fresh chocolate chip cookies right now, in the hopes that she'll be coming in to pick up her paycheck tomorrow. I'll put a little note with them for a nice send-off. :-)

Dancing With the Stars: Ohno edition.

I've never watched Dancing With the Stars before, but I'm excited to begin watching it tonight. Apolo will be on, and I can't wait!

And in other fandom news...

Netflix informs me that Blood Diamond is "processing." In translation, it will most likely ship this afternoon and be in my hot little hands tomorrow - the same day it comes out on DVD!

Car troubles.

I pulled on my big girl panties today and did something I needed to do. I completely didn't want to, but Heather held my hand through it, and I'm glad it's getting done.

Being a grown-up sucks sometimes.

And, in the middle of Dancing With the Stars, I just caught the premiere of the movie trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End!

What a great night to be watching television!

It was an... uplifting moment (pun intended).

Sometimes I crack myself up. It's great to be able to laugh at, well, me.

Last Thursday's Parents at Home meeting was a good one. I was glad to get with the ladies again, and I was anxious to hear the speaker: Nancy Grear, from Intimá. She is a Certified Bra-Fitter, and she had a wealth of information to share with us about our most delicate clothing. And Juanita led us in a wonderful devotion that was spot-on and hilarious. It was a fabulous morning!
