Cookies for a goodbye.
Mar. 19th, 2007 12:07 amOn Friday, I was sad to learn that it was my last day working with JoAnn. It turns out that she's being transferred to the Runza in Millard, and I really enjoy working with her on Mondays and Fridays. She'd joked with me that she really wanted some of my chocolate chip cookies (she knew I'd given Ryan some), and I toyed around with bringing some of the last few left at home in for her on Friday, but decided that I'd bring her some fresher ones some other time... only to find out it was the last day I'd work with her. :-(
It was a sudden decision, and she'd not really been given much choice about it. But she does live in Millard, so she'll save on gas in not commuting. It's just that she liked the staff here at our Runza better. I'm sad to see her go.
But tomorrow is payday, so I'm up making fresh chocolate chip cookies right now, in the hopes that she'll be coming in to pick up her paycheck tomorrow. I'll put a little note with them for a nice send-off. :-)
