Radishes, tomatoes and weeds, oh my!
Jun. 18th, 2006 04:39 pmI pulled many, many more radishes out of the garden this afternoon. Altogether, we've harvested four dozen beauties, and Philip says they are very, very good. I'm glad he thinks so.
I also pulled another red tomato from the garden. Though the fence might be ugly, it's doing its job. We've now gotten six Roma tomatoes, though it would have been twelve if it weren't for that darned critter eating half of them and leaving the rest. And speaking of the critter, on the afternoon that I headed out to build the fence, a ground squirrel went streaking out of my tomatoes and ran for the nearest hole out in the yard. If I could have shot lasers at him from my eyes, that sucker would've been fried.
I've not weeded for the past two evenings (the first of which I was too busy working on building the fence), so I'll be doing that tonight.
Wow, I'm just a bundle of excitement, aren't I?
