Today has entailed walking very slowly. Wherever I wanted to go, I just made sure to move at a slow pace. I've also kept on top of the ibuprofen, so I've not been in near as much as pain.
The boys played in the pool this afternoon for about 3 hours. I laid on the bench of the picnic table for practically all of that time. I listened to the radio today - instead of CDs - and I finally got to hear the 'Brian and Ben's Top 20 Countdown.' I really like their show, but it seems I'm never listening to the radio on Sunday afternoons.
I put one more bag of mulch into the garden.
Annie moved the fence yesterday to give the zucchinis and pumpkins more room, but that meant that we had additional square footage that needs to be covered in mulch. I'll need to pick up two more bags next time I'm out to finish covering the rest.
I've been cutting out more sets of these tiny felt letters for the baptismal banners. As such, my hands are nicely covered in black ink again. I just took a shower, and it got off a lot of it, but there's still a bit showing. I'm going to drop off these sets tomorrow at church for Ethel.
I talked to
Philip a little bit today. He called three times, but each time the line went dead after a few minutes. In the last call, he couldn't hear me, but I could hear him. It sure would be nice if, since we have to be separated anyway, we could actually *talk* in our one or two phone calls a month.
*sigh*
I watched
The Piano last night. Wow, I was blown away by Anna Paquin's performance (Holly Hunter's too, but especially Anna's). I remember seeing her Academy Award acceptance speech years and years ago (1993 - can you believe that?!) when she was just 12 years old, and I'd always wanted to see the movie but just never had. She was amazing, and it was a very dramatic role. Wow.
I guess I'd better go find something to do...
