Today has been a day of tickets.

I bought the Neil Diamond tickets this morning. Jack and I ate at La Mesa today for a late lunch (we were the only ones in the restaurant, even), and the entire staff came out and chatted with us for our whole meal. At the end, the manager handed me two golden tickets (no, not *the* golden ticket) for meal vouchers - very nice. I signed up for the Spring Spa Spouses Day, and received a ticket for that (which is weird, because last year we didn't need tickets at all). The boys and I watched a movie this afternoon, and that was 'just the ticket' to a peaceful, relaxing time together on the couch.

WHY?! WHY could this not have happened at OUR concert, Gretchen?!

Amazing. I'm so unbelievably happy for them both, as I really, really like both of them... but still - I'm in shock! Wow!

In other news, Wal*Mart is on my crap list today. They were completely out of stock of the 2-disc Special Edition of The Phantom of the Opera - all five rows, even! So tonight I ran to Target, and I bought one of the only TWO copies left in the store. Whew! I'm glad they had it!
