navygreen: (Jack - tired)
I hope it thunderstorms as planned this afternoon/evening. I'm thinking a well-placed nap may be in order, and those would be exactly the conditions I'd want for it.

*yawn*

This morning is the Scrapbook Group again, though I'm not sure if this is a week with childcare available or not. It doesn't matter to *me* because Jack is in preschool, but some of the other scrappers can only come on the weeks that childcare is available. After that and after I've picked up Jack from school, the tentative plan is to go out to lunch with Ann and her kids and let the kiddos use their Book-It® coupons (they are so proud of earning them, by the way).

And I'm thinking a nap after all of that sounds faboo. ;-)

We're still doing lunch today, but I just really didn't feel "in the mood" when it came time to scrapbook. Instead, I decided to go to the Frady Fitness Center and work out on the elliptical machine for a bit. Now I'm all sticky and sweaty, and I'll bet that those dining with me today would appreciate it if I hopped in the shower now. ;-)

Now I'm really hoping for some rain. I've got it in my head to go dancing in the rain, and I'm going to need some precipitation to carry through with this plan...

I just barely made it out of the shower in time to get Jack picked up from preschool. I wound my wet hair on top of my head, threw on clothes and shoes and was out the door. I didn't have to worry about my appearance at all, though - Jack was covered in various shades of blue paint when I picked him up, and so we made quite a pair, I'm sure.

Lunch sure did hit the spot. I love those cinnamon-sugar dessert sticks with icing on them - mmmmm! I need to figure out what we're having for dinner, and it needs to be fairly quick, too. I'm going to the first week of New Member Orientation tonight (it will run for 5 weeks), and it's from 6:30-8pm. We usually eat dinner around 7 or 7:30, so we'll have to bump things up a bit.

Now. Off to that nap I've been planning all day. ;-)

The very-much-hoped-for 'dance-in-the-rain' rain has never come. This disappoints me. :-(

The New Member Orientation class tonight was... informative. Janine is such an easy person to listen to, and I'm sure these next four weeks will fly by - then we'll be full-fledged members of our church!

Tonight we ate dinner at Runza (it was quick, and it's close to the church). I tried the Southwest Chicken salad with salsa instead of dressing, and oh my - it was so yummy! I think that salsa may become my new favorite dressing - I wonder why I'd not thought of this before? I also dropped off Philip's address to the people at Runza. His manager Ryan had asked me a few times for it, but I didn't have one to give him before.

I lit my Wild Blueberry 3-wick candle yesterday afternoon around 4pm, and I burned it all through the night. I even moved it into my room while I was sleeping. I didn't blow it out until around 10:30am today. I even forgot about it while I went to the gym, so I'm glad that the house didn't burn down or anything. But ahhh - the extra smell it gives off when it's been burning for that long is extra lovely. :-)
