I got a rather scary-looking letter from the base legal/JAG office last week regarding my ankle injury from the end of June. It is "scary-looking" because I wasn't expecting it (hey, I'm a klutz all the time, and I never get PAPERWORK for it!), and because it talks about contacting lawyers, how the Air Force may be due compensation for treating me if the injury happened at a workplace (it did, just not *my* workplace) and more blah, blah, blah.
I'm trying to fill out the paperwork now, but it feels like I must be doing it wrong because the reality is that it is so simple. I'm a clumsy gal, and I hit the ground - *pow!* That's all there was to it. Oh, and a heckuva lot of hurting afterwards, of course. But... yeah. A two-page report that seems to definitively determine that "this chick should only be allowed in padded, bubbled places, so as not to cause any further injury to HERSELF" just sounds silly.
