An Easter story (in pictures).

I've been promising Philip that I would get these pictures up soon, and I'm finally getting around to it tonight. Nevermind that Easter was fifteen days ago - Daddy still needs to see the fun that was had, right?
The Easter bunny didn't want the boys to be too distracted before church, so he hid their baskets in the vacuum closet until after we all arrived back home. And that's where the fun begins. :-)

The obligatory artsy Easter picture.
On the extra bench in the living room, the boys spotted their Easter baskets.

They excited looked through all their loot.

One was even kind enough to pen a thank-you note to the ol' Bunny.

The other one was too busy being silly!

They posed first, then played hard with their new Socker-Boppers for a while.

And then it was time to hunt lots of these!

Jack's on the hunt.

And A.J. takes off running after some eggs he spots on the swingset.

Jack shows him an egg he has found.

The boys fill their baskets to the point that they have to empty them into a larger one.

Once the backyard has been searched, they move to the side hill together.

Finished! (And Mom, the sun is really bright!)

It's time to crack open all the eggs and sort out the candy.

A.J. works on an egg, a prize jawbreaker already lodged in his cheek.

For Jack, full-body posture is important for cracking the eggs.

There's a LOT of candy in those eggs!

Later on, they quietly build their new dinosaurs (from inside the Dino Magic eggs).

It was a fun afternoon. I wish I'd been able to take pictures of the Dino Magic eggs as they dissolved - they literally exploded ALL over my kitchen countertop! It was quite the mess, but at least it smelled nice. ;-)
