I went to work a bit early today. Brett had called me last night and asked if I'd be willing to pick up filling before my shift today. I didn't mind, so I arrived early to get the pans I'd need at the other store. He told me I'd need eight, but when I arrived, John gave me nine pans. (We just swap out empty pans for full ones with the other store - it keeps things simple.) I weighed them all (110.5 pounds of filling!) and packed them into my van and returned to our store, where it then took me a few trips to get them all inside. That's a LOT of filling!

And the lunch shift was CRAZY! We were nonstop busy, I swear. After a few Saturdays in a row that were basically dead, it was weird to be slammed like we were today. Oh, and rafferty Herb stopped in for lunch as well. It was nice to say hello to him while I was working. I had an early-off schedule today, so I was out of there by 1:45pm.

When I came home, I changed clothes and read the mail. Then we all set out to run a few errands. Our W-2s and paychecks had arrived from Runza, and I was happy to see that I'd estimated correctly on our taxes to the penny. We went to the bank for our checks, to the commissary for a few items, to the post office to mail a few packages, and to Target to look for a new wall calendar for the office. I ended up settling on the Bad Cat Calendar, and it's pretty hilarious.

We also got a small heater for our master bathroom. You see, that room seems to be icy cold, no matter what the rest of the house feels like. And it is SO AWFUL to sit down to pee on a seat that feels like ice. Now I won't have to freeze off my bits every time I need to pee, and I'm excited about that!

We came home and unloaded everything from the car, and I began some laundry. I did two loads last night, and I'm finishing up with two more loads this evening. Philip had vacuumed and cleaned all the floors while I was at work - that was nice. I'm making 'Colorful Kielbasa' for dinner, and it's a fairly quick recipe, so I'll start on it in just a bit. It's snowing out again, so I think it will be a quiet, peaceful evening.

Last night, Philip and I watched You, Me & Dupree together. We both enjoyed it. I'm not sure what we'll watch tonight, but we've got lots of movies to choose from. He's working until close at Runza tonight, so he probably won't be home until about 9:45pm. Still, that gives us time to watch something before bed. :-)
