Do you know what makes for a dandy day?

Anxiously anticipating your girly check-up for the better portion of the last 24 hours, checking in at an impeccable 1:40-on-the-dot for your 2:00pm appointment, and then effectively being forgotten for the next hour and twenty-five minutes.

I never got my yearly violation. Heck, I never even got called back for my vitals.

At 3:04, the receptionist offered to call in my Zyrtec prescription for me right then (until I can reschedule my check-up) if I "could just have a seat and wait right here for a few more minutes." I explained to her that I had to leave right now (Philip had a meeting to get to after picking up A.J. from school), and she said she'd call our home and leave me a message regarding the prescription. Okey doke.

I had the cell phone, but I knew that Philip would be waiting at the school already for A.J., so I just set out walking, trying to intercept them rather than waste precious minutes in his going home and then coming back to get me. When I walked out the door of the clinic at 3:05, I knew I had only about seven minutes to get to the school and "catch" him. And I did, but I had to book it all the way.

Fun times, I tell you.
