Wow, the LiveJournal XColibur-style navigation bar is really, umm... festive, isn't it? ;-P

The boys played to their hearts' contents again this afternoon in the snow. They are now curled up in extra comforters with their slippers on, watching March of the Penguins (lent to us by the lovely lilmissriss Marissa) and drinking hot cocoa with marshmallows on top. It's their first time drinking hot cocoa, by the way, and that is almost kinda sad - me being the cocoa afficionado that I am. They are taking the tiniest of sips, and despite all of my warnings, A.J. did sear his tongue on his first big one. Jack likes playing with the marshmallows, and A.J. looked almost euphoric when he realized he could warm his cold hands on his cup. I'm glad they're enjoying it. :-)

After preschool today, Jack and I went to lunch with Ann, Rudi and Ty at the Pizza Hut across the street. It was a good time catching up with Ann - I just don't get to see her nearly as often as I did last year. She was at the Halloween party, of course, and she will be at the Wrapping Party this coming weekend, so we'll get caught up by then, I'm sure.

We got in the preschool's school pictures from September today... and they are just as bad as I thought they all would be. Seriously, all the parents were upset with the pictures. The class photo, for example, is sharpened WAY TOO MUCH, and the kids are whitened out to the EXTREME. Three little girls in the center of the photo are so white that they look like they are wearing white shirts... and they WEREN'T. We've had nothing but problems with this photographer since back when A.J. was in preschool there, and I just couldn't believe that the school would give him another chance this year. The teachers seemed pretty upset about it too, and Mrs. Crosgrove said she was "shocked" when she opened the box and saw the prints. She told ALL of us to call and complain, and she said that she was sure he would be re-taking nearly every picture. Jack's individual shot is actually okay, and I'm happy with it - no strange blue birthmarks or spots, like last year's - but most of the other kids' weren't. The class photo, however, is unacceptable. We'll see what all the complaints do - I called him FIVE times last year, and he never returned my call. He forgot my add-on package in Jack's order, PLUS my class photo last year - and I never got that. It's just ridiculous!

For now, I'm off to perfect a "craft" before next Saturday night's party. ;-D

They're first taste of hot chocolate. *gasp* Scott had his first taste a few days ago, and his second taste today. It has to be pretty much room temperature for him to drink it, so I let my dregs cool and gave them to his today ;) He always wants his "own cup." Lol.
