Honestly, my kids just don't request to watch
Mulan nearly often enough. It's probably been, oh... say, five or six months since we last watched it? Not nearly enough, I tell you. I had such a hankering last night to hear some of the soundtrack. I appeased myself by buying two tracks from iTunes. I was very surprised to learn that the lovely voice of the male lead (in the songs, at least) is none other than Donny Osmond. DONNY! When A.J. was a newborn, I made a point to watch 'Donny & Marie' on TV in the afternoons - I loved their talk show back then. Ahhh, talk show memories.
We've been such lazy bums the last two days or so. Yes, A.J. went to school like normal yesterday, but Jack never even got dressed... and then today, neither of the boys ever progressed out of their pajamas. Okay, there was an hour or so there where they both took turns dressing up in the Aladdin costume, and that involved divesting their pajama tops in place of the vest... but still. We were so lazy. We ate leftovers for lunch, and then I finished up the last bit of spaghetti for dinner while Philip and the boys had Burger King.
Philip woke up with quite a lot of schnozz issues this morning, though he insists that he hasn't got a cold. We'll see, but I think I'm right. He was supposed to work tonight, but he unexpectedly got the night off in preparation for his short TDY soon. He's leaving sometime tomorrow night/Monday morning for a little deployment, but he'll be back soon. I don't know any more details myself - these things are always so secretive. (Bah!)
I stayed up until 4am last night watching the World Figure Skating Championships (thanks to a heads-up from
donnazita!). Very fabulous skating, but I was so tired when I finally crawled into bed last night. I watched hours and hours more of it today, and then it finally finished tonight. Go Kimmie Meisner - new World Champion! Philip even watched it with me for several hours (though he sniffed and snerked quite a lot).
I just got off a loooong phone call with my friend Jan (2.5 hours!), but it was good to catch up with her in so many things. We'll try to get together sometime this week, but it might be a little bit tough with Philip gone.
mayna pointed to this website earlier today, and I found it hilarious:
BumperNutsAnd I think that's about all I can ramble on about for tonight. ;-)
