Got my drivers license today. My picture is pretty good, and I'm pleased with the thing. It only took about 20 minutes - in and out - and I was done. Since my current license was still valid (for the next three days!), I only had to complete a vision test. I read twelve numbers off quickly, and then I was good to go. $23.75 later, and I'm set for the next 5 years. :-)
Philip dropped me and Jack off at home, and then he went to pick up A.J. from school. Jack and I went outside again to play in the leaves some more. I'd raked a HUGE pile yesterday evening for the boys to jump in - probably 14 x 6 feet, about 2 feet deep - on one side of the swingset, and I raked a large pile at the bottom of the slide. About half of the leaves had blown away in the wind last night, but there was still plenty left to play in. I raked the piles up again, and then Jack and A.J. took turns jumping into them from the top of the rock wall or going down the slide and landing in them. They played hard in the leaves for over 2 hours, and they are due for a bath here in a few minutes.
We fixed the litterbox problem yesterday. The litter had been clean for over an hour, I'd been sitting here at the desk with the door open right next to me, yet I could *STILL* smell the pee/ammonia smell. It was awful. I pulled out the box to inspect it. When I did, I saw that the rug underneath the back corner was damp and nasty-looking. Philip throwing out the rug, plus he cut a rectangle out of the carpet in that corner so that the box could sit directly on the tile floor (easier to clean if the cats peed over the edge again). We also tossed the box and bought a new one. Finally, the smell was GONE! Not only that, but the smell stayed gone for hours, as the kitties were all afraid to use the new box for quite a while yesterday and last night. ;-)
Oh, and I took the picture of the boys for the Christmas card a couple of days ago, but I'm not sharing it here until that day. ;-) And that reminds me - I'm going to start working on my Christmas cards very, very soon. I've not done a good job at leaving screened comments or filling out polls when all of you have asked, but... now I'm asking you to do it for me. *grin*
But really, if you'd like a Christmas card from me - and I truly encourage ANYONE who wants one to let me know... (I love sending them, and I love receiving them in turn) - please email me. (I'm not great at remembering to go back and check poll results, so this is the best way for me.) Send me your username, real name and address. I'll make it very easy for you, even:

I want to send you Christmas cheer! Just let me know if you want it! Alternatively, here is my own information:
