Philip has been away from home for a good, long while.
How?
He's not used to my calling for him down the hall anymore. He completely tunes it out. I have always done this, however, and I'm just not used to him not coming when I call. Eventually I get exasperated and walk down the hall to get his attention.
Just now, after calling for him for the bazillionth time already tonight, he didn't hear me once again. Or so I thought, anyway.
A few minutes later, he came in and handed me a turned-on walkie-talkie and laid it on the desk in front of me. Our new communication.
*laughs*
