Distraction.
Oct. 16th, 2005 12:34 amI'm distracted this evening. I have no idea why. I've been working on a third installment for one of the MuggleNet columns I'm in charge of, and I've stopped about a bazillion times in the process. I'm only halfway through even now, and here I am... stopping again.
Philip's passed out on the couch and has been since 10pm. I knew he would go to sleep because he took out his contacts. Heheh. That always works almost instantly. But seriously, I absolutely CANNOT fall asleep that early, so there's no point not continuing to get some work done while he takes a nap.
I'm working for Ann in the church nursery tomorrow. She volunteered to work during the 11am service, but then something came up. I'm at that service anyway, so it's no problem to step in and help. It's been a long, long time since I've worked in a church nursery. Sure, I substituted in Jack's classroom for three weeks last year, but that was different. I feel a little bit like I've come full-circle, though; my very first job ever was in my church's nursery in high school. I started at the end of December, and I earned $52.06 in wages my first year of working.
(I find it odd how I remember that amount exactly now. Hmmm...)
Alrightee. Time to get back to work.
