Party stuff.
Jul. 28th, 2005 04:01 pmI'm getting excited! The boys are too!

Janiece yesterday, it occurred to me that Jack's birthday party was really coming up fast - the 7th! If I wanted his stuff to get here in time, I needed to get it ordered quickly - yikes! I'd long ago picked out the dinosaur theme he wanted (there were 3 themes we found, but this one was the cutest), but when I went to order it online today, I just felt a bit uneasy about it making it in time for next week. Sure, the party stuff would probably make it, but I needed the invitations NOW.
So, we set off this afternoon to find something else suitable. We went to Wal*Mart first. I figured we'd find out exactly what they had, then we'd go somewhere else, and if we then needed to come back to Wal*Mart, we would. Though we picked up a few more things for A.J.'s Madagascar party later in the month, they didn't have anything dinosaur-themed. We did, however, order Jack's dinosaur cake while we were there, and we picked out the Madagascar one for A.J. (though it was too early to order his yet).
We then drove to Gretna to the outlet shopping mall. I knew that 'Paper Factory' would have tons of things that no one else did, and I was so excited to find not only dinosaur stuff, but THE dinosaur stuff we'd wanted online! Even better, they had even more accessories than were available online - yay! I bought all of the stuff for Jack's birthday (themed square plates, themed napkins, hunter green napkins, themed mural, themed tablecover, themed cups, red cutlery, themed invitations and thank-you notes, themed goodie bags and dino-fact cards, dinosaur puzzles in eggs, dinosaur waterglobes, themed blow-outs, themed stickers, crepe paper in four colors, themed mylar balloons), and I finished up A.J.'s party stuff as well (all the same things as Jack, only with themed round plates and orange cutlery, and with the exception of puzzles and waterglobes [instead, A.J. has wobble penguins and themed character twisty straws]) -- complete with a large inflatable palm tree! :-)
I'll pick up the balloons and the cakes on the day of the parties. Now I've just got to get the invitations ready and send them out. Party time starts in just 10 days!
