Pictures are now back online. I love the support guy at my photohost. I noticed the problem (meaning I had no banner, mood icons or pictures loading in my journal), emailed him about it, and he was able to restart the service and get it up and running again immediately. They are always so quick to answer emails - gotta love that!
Unfortunately, I don't have enough time for the Chicago post just now, as I have to go and pick up the boys from VBS in a bit. I'll have to do it after lunch.
