It's Saturday, so I'm at work today. I've only had the store open for an hour now, but I've already had 5 customers, and that's a lot for a Saturday. I only have 3 checks left that are due for today, so I imagine the rest of the day will be pretty slow.

Which only gives me more time to read Book Four. I'm about 1/3 of the way through it right now, and then I've got to reread Book Five one last time. All of these rereads have been in preparation for the release of Book Six... which comes out in just 34 days!

Blech. Spearmint CERTs and slightly watery Coke do not a refreshing taste make. I should remember this in the future (but chances are great that I'll forget here in about half an hour and do it again).

Tonight hetterrific Heather and I are taking the boys to the circus. I almost bought tickets for a smaller circus a month ago, but I decided at the last minute to wait until Barnum & Bailey came to town. Tickets were already sold out for last night, but Heather managed to wrangle tickets for tonight (originally, she'd been told that all child tickets were sold out). I'm excited - it will be the boys' first time going to a circus, and it's neat that their first circus is also the same company of the first one that I ever went to. My Granny and Pawpaw took me to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus twenty years ago this summer. We drove from their little town to Amarillo, Texas to see it, and I remember loving every second of it. I believe it was also the very first time I had cotton candy. :-)

So I've brought a change of clothes and my camera to work with me today. Heather's going to pick up the boys from starrchld Annie and grab something to eat for all of them, and then she's going to meet me here at work, and we'll head to the Qwest Center from here. The show starts at 7pm, and I typically don't get out of here until 6:10 or so. I don't know for certain, but I'm really hoping we're allowed to take cameras in. We'll see, I guess.

Yick. Blackberry yogurt has got to be one of the more disgusting things I've put into my mouth. It's all... crunchy and seedy. *grimaces*

Big days.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KARYN!

You shouldn't be reading this, [livejournal.com profile] little_liebchen, because you should be living it up in Prague right now... but have a great birthday anyway! :-)

The circus was WONDERFUL. Detail-y post to follow...
