It occurs to me as I date all of these pay advance agreements that the boys' birthdays aren't too terribly far away. For example, at the top of the agreement, I put today's date - April 9th - and it reminds me that Jack will be 4 years old in just 4 months. And I put the date two weeks from now - April 23rd - in the section where the check is due, and I am reminded that A.J. will be 7 years old just 4 months from that date.

So. I'm having birthday reminders all day. It's kind of a neat little thing. :-)

Though I still did not get to sleep until very late last night (aka. early this morning), I slept very well. From all that I can remember, I did not dream at all, and that was a very welcome relief to my poor, stress-addled brain. I had continued to putz around the house long after I'd grown very tired, finding things to do or clean - too afraid to go to sleep for fear of the dreams that awaited me. I was so happy this morning to have had nothing to worry about.

It is amazing to me the calming powers that just Philip's voice has. I've always been instantly put at ease with the touch of his hand on my nervous stomach, but I am so thankful to know that his voice can also do what his hands can't at this moment.

Philip emailed me pictures today. Some candid/posed pictures that were taken in the days before the explosion, and also a few of the aftermath. I made a picture post in his journal of the scary stuff, but it is friends-locked. If you would like to see it and you are not on his friends' list, please email me, and I'll see about sending you a picture or two.
(Sorry, we just want to keep a little control about who's seeing these pics - I'm sure you understand.) You can email me HERE, and the picture files are resized to 640x480 pixels (just to give you a heads-up).

I do have a favorite picture among the ones he sent me today:

Philip relaxes on the hood.

My TAN man! ;-D

And here's one more - a group pic... )

Once again, my poor captions aren't up to snuff, either in this post or in the one in Philip's journal. I apologize, but I'm afraid I'm a bit out of my league here!
