A Memorial

As there's just no feasible way (time-wise) for us to be home for Aunt Mary's funeral, we had a small, make-shift memorial for her ourselves today. :-)

After church, the boys and I came home and changed clothes. I made a special note, and then we were off again. We picked out some nice, bright balloons, and we tied the note to the balloons. A.J. read the note aloud, and Jack and I held onto the balloon strings. We then drove back to the church to set the balloons free to go to Aunt Mary.

Once they let go, the balloons were quickly whipped away by the strong winds. The boys and I ran to another side of the church so that we could watch them for even longer, and then they finally disappeared. Once they were out of sight, A.J. asked, "Where'd they go?" I answered him and told him that, "Aunt Mary has them now."

(Also, if you are interested, HERE is a scrapbook page of mine that includes Aunt Mary. The page is of our visit to her and Aunt Frankie's house on Christmas Day 1998, and that's A.J. as a baby.)

Why does Dr. Pepper seem to go flatter faster in cans than other sodas?

Grr. Three swallows of 'Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper' are left in the can, but they're hardly drinkable (in my opinion).
