Today was a fun day. :-)
I was soooo glad to drop both kids off at school today - that 5-day break was just too much 'family togetherness!'
Jack's preschool class moved into a brand new building and classroom today, and the new facilities are just gorgeous! I was so surprised to see his handprint decorating the entrance of the new building - he's one of the 'founding' students!

Jack's 'inaugural' handprint on the wall of the new preschool.
Jack took me all over the new classroom, showing me all the 'new' stuff. The room is HUGE compared to the old classrooms, and there are now SIX toilets instead of TWO, etc. Everything is so nice, and the big windows all over make it seem so much cheerier inside.
(You can see more pictures of the preschool HERE.)
While Jack was in class,
Heather and I went to the first-ever meeting of 'The Cutting Edge' - the new scrapbooking group at my church. We'll be meeting on Tuesday mornings during the preschool hour. I worked on more of my sister's wedding pages - it's moving along nicely - and Janiece completed her very first page! :-)
We packed up our stuff at 11am and headed back over to the preschool. I registered Jack for classes next year (those of us already in the school get first dibs), and then we waited until 11:30 when he got out. After showing Heather the new room as well, the three of us went out to lunch at 'the little Chinese place' (that's what Jack calls it).
After picking up A.J. from school at the normal time, the boys were excited to learn that they had special letters in the mail. They each opened a stickered envelope to find special Valentines from my Pawpaw, Granny and Aunt Edith. My family is so creative: each of the valentines was a hand-drawn train, and there was a message written inside the train cars. Jack's read, "Hope you're training to be my Valentine," and A.J.'s read, "Won't 'choo be my Valentine?" They were so cute! Each of them had a $1 bill wrapped up inside, but for once, the boys thought the cards themselves were the much better gift. :-)

And speaking of Valentines, Baby sure has enjoyed my flowers from
Gretchen. As I was arranging them on top of the entertainment center today, one of the little carnation blooms fell out. I picked it up and let Baby smell it - she was instantly hooked. I let her play with the flower, and she carried it off to A.J.'s bed to properly maul it.

A.J. had a wonderful note for his behavior in school today, and I had promised him some uninterrupted computer time if/when that happened. So, today he played for almost 3 hours online while I cooked dinner and played with Jack. During the afternoons is when I do most of my work for MuggleNet, so I ended up doing it tonight after the boys were in bed. And I've been working hard!
See?

Well, the load of laundry I decided to do at the last minute tonight has just finished its cycle in the washer. I'm going to toss it all in the dryer and head to bed early tonight, I think. Toodle-oo!
