[livejournal.com profile] tjoelyn (with the help of her hubby [livejournal.com profile] ofbg) sent me pictures of the yellow ribbon they tied for Philip:

So touching. It made me cry such happy, touching tears when I saw. )

Today was a good mail day. :-) I received both of my LiveJournal books today (see #1, see #2) - I am very pleased with both of them. We also received a box of goodies from Philip's mom. It contained a card, pictures and a scrapbooking magazine for me, an Aladdin costume that A.J. had requested, special gold and silver pens, a marker set that contained a "skin marker" (A.J.'d been wanting one for a while so that he could properly draw Aladdin), an art sketch book, the Garfield movie, 4 books, stickers... I think that's it. A.J. was so excited to immediately try on the Aladdin costume, and - of course - I took pictures. :-)

A.J. walked around in the costume for quite a while. Next thing I knew though, here comes Jack dressed as Aladdin, too. Naturally, I had to take pictures of him as well - and besides the costume, he was only wearing his baseball-striped underwear!

We also received our order from natgraluk Maria's Do-Re-Me & You party on Sunday - that was fast! I picked it up at her house after Jack got out of preschool, and then we all went to lunch together at Super Buffet (a Chinese restaurant)... and Maria treated me and Jack!

Speaking of parties and lunches, starrchld Annie treated me and Jack to Applebee's on Monday - boy, we are sure getting the special treatment this week! :-) And hetterrific Heather dropped off my Pampered Chef order on Tuesday, so I've been 'playing' with my new kitchen gadgets as well. I'm just hoping that my PartyLite show and all the stuff I ordered from Amazon.com arrives very soon - I'd like to keep the lovelies flowing in! :-D

This morning, Chris(tine) Tackett and Ann Thrasher came over for a little scrapbooking while Jack was away at Preschool. I finished up a few more pages for the 2nd volume of Philip's military album, and then I began the 8-page spread that I will be doing for spishy Erica's (my sister's) wedding. I'm going to do two sets of fold-out pages, so the entire thing will actually fit into a 4 pages, but it will still be a LOT of work. That's what I'm going to be working on tonight as well. My friend Janiece Rife has been coming over on Tuesday mornings to scrapbook, and it looks like we might have enough interest to now start a group on those mornings at the church - and there would already be childcare available in the nursery for those that would need it (Jack would be in preschool, so I wouldn't... but it's nice that it'd be there for others). I'm really excited about that, and I hope that we're able to get it off the ground soon. Until then, I'm more than happy to have everyone come here on Tuesday mornings. :-)

Tidbit from A.J. just now: "Mom, can I have some milk to drink? Even 'street rats' need their calcium!"

I'm finally doing that load of laundry. You know, the one that I lied to myself and said I would do yesterday - that one.

Swish, swish, swish. :-D
