Movie update
Oct. 1st, 2003 01:09 pmMinority Report: Tom Cruise and Colin Farrell (though Philip wasn't expecting him - heheh!) in a cop movie set in 2054. The movie was VERY futuristic, but it was also pretty good, and I'm not one to usually like any sort of that stuff. It was a good watch and also a movie I'd think about adding to our collection.
Anger Management: Funny, even though just looking at Jack Nicholson gives me the creeps sometimes. Adam Sandler is classic, and it's very easy to identify with him (as usual). Marisa Tomei (as his girlfriend) is beautiful as always, and the movie was good. Anyone wanna sing a song? "I feel pretty, oh so pretty...">
I know there's other movies, but I'm drawing a blank right now... grr.
Edit: I thought of more. :-)
200 Cigarettes: Enh. There's lots of good people in it, though. Ben and Casey Affleck, Jay Mohr, Christian Ricci, Kate Hudson, Gaby Hoffman, Courtney Love, Dave Chappelle, Paul Rudd. It's New Year's Eve 1981, and the movie involves all of the story lines coming together at one party.
Signs: Well, I didn't really like it, despite the fact that practically everyone I know does. To me, it just seemed that there was no point, no reason that the aliens came. And the fact that Mel kept having flashbacks to his wife just so that he could remember her saying one little line? Odd. It wasn't scary enough to be scary, per se, and it also wasn't creepy enough to be creepy. Darn.
Collateral Damage: Pretty decent movie. It's about terrorism, and it's the movie that was pushed back after September 11th. Arnold Schwarzenegger (sp?) plays a firefighter trying to catch the Columbian terrorist who killed his wife and son in a bombing in L.A. It's kind of a long movie, over 2 hours. But decent. :-)
Movies Currently in My Possession:
Amelie
The Cider House Rules
The Fast and the Furious
City of Angels
Movies Headed My Way:
Bend It Like Beckham
The Four Feathers
