Lotsa mail.

There has been and will be lots of mail this week. Since I have a love affair with my mailbox, this is an especially good thing!

What has already come:

- a shiny mixed CD of cool songs from [livejournal.com profile] mostcurious
- a box containing 11 miniature Coca~Cola cars and trucks from [livejournal.com profile] mix3d3m0ti0n5
- a long and lovely penpal card from [livejournal.com profile] kpnut
- a bix box of goodies from my mom

What is still coming:

- a box of Hugs from [livejournal.com profile] amenquohi (thanks for the tip, [livejournal.com profile] sdaisyk!)
- a bookmark from [livejournal.com profile] dstroy
- an order from BookPlanet Book Club
- an order from Children's Book-of-the-Month Club

And because mail is reciprocal, I need to mail out the following tomorrow:

- a box to my mom
- a package to [livejournal.com profile] gardenmama
- pictures to Philip's mom

Silly me, I clicked on the link to the bookmark wondering which one you had bought. I should have guessed!

I wonder what could be in the package for me? *wink*

Though I have talked to Dorota to see if she could make me a better bookmark at some point in the future - a SLYTHERIN one, of course! She'd said she would keep an eye out for materials. ;-D

I've been getting mail love, too, I just always forget to post about it. Yay for mail love (and male love, too!!)!!

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"male love"

*snicker*

[identity profile] minivan-mom.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
'Male love'- too funny! I'm *so* looking forward to Friday night just for that reason. Mmmmm...

Last night while talking to Mom she was commenting on how fast this week has gone. She couldn't believe that 'tomorrow is already Hump Day', a term she's used for Wednesday ever since I can remember. Well, I had to correct her that *my* hump day won't be until Friday! DOH! ;-)

But I do think we stay at home moms like mail love a little more than most. It's a little treat/escape from the routine sometimes.

Oh, I don't know. I've always liked mail more than the average person, I think. I used to salivate over junk mail, even. In fact, in the first year or so that we were married and lived in Alaska, my mom would even send me her junk mail - I didn't get hardly any of my own, and I was sad!

[identity profile] minivan-mom.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Another man's junk (mail) is another man's treasure.

But yeah, I think that qualifies as loving mail more than most, for sure!

Awesome! I'm gald they came and I hope you like them!

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, they're so cute!

You're actually going to still receive one more Christmas card. We will probably win the award for the latest one.

We suck. :)

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay - more mail!

[identity profile] lotsofjoy.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay for mail that isn't bills!

Did you ever get my "un-holliday" card? if you posted about it, I missed it!

[identity profile] sdaisyk.livejournal.com 2007-01-17 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Which hug(s) did you end up getting? Are you going to send one off with Philip when he leaves? My mother is a happy recipient of one. :-) Though I never did test it out while I was home...

[identity profile] navygreen.livejournal.com 2007-01-18 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
I bought a blue one and a red one. And I think she's sending me a flag prototype as well. :-)

[identity profile] sdaisyk.livejournal.com 2007-01-18 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Cool!

[identity profile] chelelev.livejournal.com 2007-01-18 10:50 am (UTC)(link)
IF I ever get it in gear, you might get your Christmas card before Easter.

Hehehe.

On a side note, I was tickled to see your comment in my inbox last night. I'd been thinking about you in particular for hours. In searching for the entry in which I "met" [livejournal.com profile] beanpop, I found so many, many comments from you from before you had an LJ. You've always been such a huge commenter, and I love your "voice of reason" in difficult times in my life. Thanks for always being there, Chele!

Aaaawwwwwwwww. Thanks Nic.

Don't comment as much now that I am working and they prefer I do Amazon's work. Silly people. I thought I was just there to surf the web faster than I can at home.

And to get yelled at by customers who have to blame someone for their lack of planning. If you had noticed your mail was making a tour of the eastern seaboard, maybe you could have called the post office and tried to get it back. Callng me about it after 5 Christmas Eve's eve is too little to late for me to try and rush something out. If you had called by the previous Wednesday, we could have replaced your order and gotten it to you.

I think I need to do another Customers Suck post. I seem to have some issues about some of my callers.

I kinda liked your last "customers suck" post. ;-D

I'm working on a reply, too. :-)
